Radiators protected from frost, corrosion and overheating

Thanks to its versatility, moldability and resistance to high temperatures and harsh chemicals, BASF Ultramid® polyamides (nylon) are a widely used engineering thermoplastic in the automotive industry today, especially in the engine compartment.

With good design flexibility, Ultramid glass reinforced, heat stabilized, injection molding resin with glycol hydrolysis resistance is suitable for engine cooling applications, such as radiator end tanks, water pumps and coolant components.

BASF also offers a range of grades with improved coolant and CaCl2 resistance.
